Robert B. Rose

Chief Executive Officer
Rose Metal Industries LLC. & Rose Iron Works LLC.

Bob Rose has devoted the significant portion of his working career to nurturing his family’s metalworking business. Rose Iron Works, founded by Bob’s grandfather in 1904, rapidly became recognized as the premier source of high end ornamental wrot iron for discerning customers in the greater Cleveland area. The company transitioned to a second generation, then added industrial work during and after the World War years. Bob was forbidden to pursue his passion for formal training in art and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering. He left a brief job teaching drafting at an inner city high school to join his father in 1971. While the company, also known as Rose Metal Industries. LLC, still produces highly respected decorative items, Bob has guided its skilled team into more technical areas. These include heat and corrosion resistant alloy fabrication as well as contract manufacturing using robotic welding to furnish a wide variety of industrial items to the primary and secondary metal, transportation, aerospace, solar energy and military markets.

Raised with a strong commitment to community, Bob’s involvement has included interest in “small business” as a founding and many term board member of COSE as well as board support of St Clair Superior Development Corp and Ingenuity. The pattern of diverse activity also typifies Bob’s avocations. He has spent four decades maintaining and racing a classic wooden boat on Lake Erie, entertains friends by touring the Cuyahoga on the Lara B, a wood burning steam driven launch, or can be found punching holes in the sky, whether flying rescue dogs to their forever homes or simply enjoying the freedom of the skies.
