Community Paramedicine is a division of PHASTAR Corp. that falls under the organization’s Public Health & Safety Mission. Community Paramedicine, or CP for short, is a new and emerging trend in healthcare that allows for an expanded role of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). CP uses existing EMTs and Paramedics to address Community Health Needs, most often in under-served populations. Other medical professionals including Nurses, Physician Assistants, and Doctors are an integral part of CP programs. Community Paramedicine is essentially bringing back the medical house call.
